Building a new city in the midst of the old city, one syllable at a time by writing, editing, rapping, praying, and that sort of thing.

Jamey W. Bennett

I am a California-born writer, editor, rapper, homebrewer, classical curriculum developer, libertarian, and Orthodox Christian. After stints in Nashville, Tennessee and Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, I now live in Philadelphia with my two beagles, Baxter and Bucer, and my wife, Alison.

Somewhere along the way I picked up degrees in Elementary Education (B.A.) and Biblical Studies (M.A.), but most of what I know comes from books, hard knocks, and experience. I have written about everything from rock music to beer to education, and I have edited everything from women’s interest to hockey to theology. I even managed to publish a few books for homeschool and private school use.

While doing all of this, I found my way into the pages of Touchstone, Christian Culture, Christianity Today, and CCM, and I have convinced people at Thomas Nelson, Perseus Books, and Canon Press to let me tinker with their books.

I love languages, beards, cigars, good beer, and flip-flops.
